We still need your help! LAHSA encourages all community partners to write and call your members of Congress and ask them to do what they can to ensure that the federal Build Back Better spending bill passes as quickly as possible and that current housing investments remain the same. Congress and the White House are making final decisions in the next few weeks and we need to ensure that this bill gets signed into law and that significant housing investments are not cut from the final package.

This is a once in a generation opportunity to turn the tide on homelessness and housing affordability. The Build Back Better bill presents a real opportunity to bring affordability and stability to millions of people that are currently at risk of homelessness. We cannot afford to waste this historic opportunity – the time to act is NOW!

Call Your Member of Congress Today!

  • Share your name and the part of the district that you live in,

  • Let the staff member know why housing and homelessness is an important issue to you,

  • Tell them that we can’t waste this opportunity to get the federal resources we need to end homelessness, and

  • Ask for the member to pass the Build Back Better spending bill as quickly as possible and ensure that housing investments remain the same!
