Shelter Count & Housing Inventory Count (HIC) Presentation

July 21, 2021 - LAHSA released the results of the 2021 Shelter Count and Housing Inventory Count (HIC). The HIC is a census of all interim and permanent housing options in the homeless rehousing system at a given point-in-time. This year, the Housing Inventory Count occurred on January 27. |

LAHSA State of Homelessness Panel Series: Outreach

On July 12, 2021, LAHSA held the first session of its State of Homelessness Panel Series.
The panel of experts, including United Way of Greater Los Angeles's Eric Ares, Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health's Anthony Ruffin, Los Angeles County Department of Health Services Housing for Heath's Libby Boyce, LAHSA's Kim Barnett, and LAHSA's Executive Director Heidi Marston discussed how street outreach addresses visible homelessness.
Each quarter, LAHSA will gather experts in homeless services to do a deep dive into different aspects of our life-saving system. |

LAHSA Homeless Engagement Team members began receiving vaccinations in February. As frontline workers, it’s crucial to ensure the safety of outreach workers, their loved ones, and the clients they work with each day. Since the onset of COVID-19, Los Angeles County and its partners have worked quickly to prevent the spread of the virus among people experiencing #homelessness. |
