Cities Around Los Angeles County Implement Eviction Moratoriums in Advance on January 1


In advance of new AB 1482 rent cap and eviction protections coming into force statewide on January 1, 2020, a number of cities have taken action to prevent rent increases and evictions in the intervening period leading up to 2020. Cities that have passed these temporary measures to prevent evictions and rent hikes include:

  • Baldwin Park
  • Bell Gardens
  • Duarte
  • El Monte
  • Long Beach
  • Los Angeles
  • Pasadena
  • Pomona
  • Torrance
  • Redondo Beach
  • San Gabriel
  • South Pasadena
