June 06, 2018

Los Angeles, CA (June 7, 2018) – The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority has named Anthony (Tony) Creed as chief financial officer. Creed begins with LAHSA June 25.

“Tony’s extensive background in public sector finance will serve the agency well at a time of unprecedented growth,” said Peter Lynn, LAHSA’s executive director. “We are excited that he will be leading our growing finance team.”

“I’m very excited to join the LAHSA team because of our shared passion to help the homeless,” said Creed. “I look forward to serving all those touched by LAHSA.”

LAHSA currently has a budget of $257 million, the highest in the agency’s history.

Creed is currently in charge of financial and administrative operations in his role as the associate medical center director on the Executive Leadership Team at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. Prior to that position, he was the chief financial officer at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System.

A retired naval officer, Creed has held leadership roles in both the private and public sectors managing budgets in excess of $1 billion.

The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority is a joint powers authority of the City and County of Los Angeles, created in 1993 to address the problems of homelessness in Los Angeles County. LAHSA is the lead agency in the HUD-funded Los Angeles Continuum of Care, and coordinates and manages more than $257 million annually in federal, state, county and city funds for programs providing shelter, housing and services to homeless persons.
