New CES Policies Available For Public Comment (August)
August 30, 2017
A new process is underway for developing and updating policies and procedures for the Los Angeles Coordinated Entry System (LA CES) to ensure consistency in the delivery of homeless services through CES. This process is publicly accountable and includes opportunities for public comment.
This month, two policies are available for public comment: Data Management and Ensuring Equal Access.
Once you have reviewed them, you are invited to provide feedback for the CES Policy Council’s consideration. The survey link below will remain open until 5:00 pm on September 11, 2017.
Each month, a new set of draft policies will be available for public comment. Public comment will be shared with the CES Policy Council alongside the original draft for them to review and then revise or approve. The final product will be a complete set of CES Policies and Procedures, which will encompass a range of topics organized around the core components of CES: Access, Assessment, Prioritization, and Referral. Public comment will be sought for all policies included in this complete set.
The CES Policy Council meets on the 4th Wednesday of every month at the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority, and meetings are open to the public. The next meeting - rescheduled to the first Wednesday - is on October 4, 2017.
