Help for Families

If you and your family need help, please call 211 from your phone or visit www.211la.org, the County information and referral line.

When calling 211, you will be asked to complete a quick survey to determine the best options for you and your family. You will be referred to the nearest family center (FSC) for further assistance.

Your family may also be referred to an FSC by one of our partner homeless shelters.

About 211 LA County

211 LA County is Los Angeles County’s information and referral service, offering confidential services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in English, Spanish and over 140 more languages. Services are also available to individuals with hearing impairments.

CES for Families Eligibility

To be eligible for any service through our program, your household must:

  1. Meet the definition of a family.
  2. Be facing a housing crisis.

Eligibility for rapid re-housing or prevention assistance is based on the following:

  1. Your family must meet the definition of Homeless or imminently at-risk of homelessness (Your status will be determined when you visit the Family Center).
  2. Your family must have one or more minor children in your legal custody.
  3. Your income must be at or below 30% Area Median Income.
