The Emergency Response Program (ERP) provides low-barrier, safe, and supportive 24 hours emergency shelter services when it is activated as a result of severe weather or circumstances that pose an immediate danger to unsheltered individuals.
Am I Eligible for the Emergency Response Program?
All Emergency Response Participants must be unsheltered populations targeted during the activation of the program:
Family Household
or
Single Individuals
or
Transitional Aged Youth (TAY)
Service Engagement
- Intake and Entry Into HMIS
- Participation in Daily Coordination
- Problem Solving and Case Management
- Housing Services Plans and Care Coordination
- Coordination Planning for Demobilization
- On-site monitoring and oversight security
- 3 meals in a 24-Hours period
- Emotional Support Animal acceptance
* The Emergency Response Program is comprised of several interventions including the Inclement Weather Program and Augmented Winter Shelter Program.
Notification of activation is sent out through Constant Contact and posted on this website. Join our LAHSA Constant Contact Mailing List. When activated, people in need of transportation can connect with an Outreach worker for support in accessing the program and for transportation assistance.
