CAPACITY BUILDING FUND
2024 AWARD RECIPIENTS
LAHSA created the Small Agency and Faith-Based Organization Capacity Building Funding Pilot to assist small agencies and FBOs offering services to individuals experiencing homelessness in SPA 6. Small agencies and FBOs that meet the eligibility criteria can request funding for projects aimed at enhancing their organizational capacity to sustain and expand direct services to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Changing the Faces of Homelessness (CFH) is a nonprofit 501c3 organization serving the community as a permanent supportive housing provider for individuals experiencing homelessness. Our motto is "Healing with Housing and Self-Ownership = Great Success." Our goal is to empower others by providing the necessary resources and tools to help them regain self-sufficiency by offering life altering programs. | Changing the Faces of Homelessness (CFH) provides outreach and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness, particularly seniors, veterans, and families. Their services include distributing food, clothing, blankets, and resources through community outreach events, such as the Resource Movement Center and the Breakthrough Event in Skid Row. CFH also offers shared housing with supportive services like case management and counseling, as well as housing referrals, youth empowerment programs, and partnerships with other organizations to provide healthcare, recovery services, and more. Through the Resource Movement Center, CFH delivers social services focused on financial stability, youth empowerment, housing resources, and health and wellness for families and individuals facing hardships due to trauma, unemployment, and other challenges. Their goal is to empower individuals, restore hope, and help them transition to stable living situations. |
