Congresswoman Maxine Waters visits LAHSA
LAHSA was honored to host Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA, 35th District)
in a wide ranging exchange on the current state of homelessness in the City
and County of Los Angeles on August 8, 2007 . Congresswoman Waters is Chair
of the House Subcommittee on Housing and Economic Opportunity, and plays a
critical role in addressing homelessness in Congress. Leslie Wise, Homeless
Coordinator for Mayor Villaraigosa and Flora Gil Krisiloff, Deputy to Supervisor
Yaroslavsky, along with LAHSA Commission President, Larry Adamson, also participated.
All meeting participants acknowledged the importance of continuing to communicate
and collaborate in the fight to eliminate homelessness in Los Angeles.
