| Boundaries: Los
Angeles County Service Planning Area 5-West-includes
state-owned land, portions of the Santa Monica Mountains
National Recreation Area, coastline, state beaches, marinas,
and Los Angeles International Airport. Its western border is
the Ventura County line. Its eastern boundary runs south along
Laurel Canyon Boulevard, Doheny Drive, the eastern border of
Culver City, and La Cienega Boulevard through the western side
of Baldwin Hills and Ladera Heights to Imperial Highway. The
northern border follows a number of mountain roads beginning
with Mulholland Highway on the west, through state parklands,
up the western border of Topanga State Park, and along
Mulholland Drive to the east. The coastline, reaching from
Carrillo State Beach to El Segundo, forms the SPA’s southern
boundary.. |
